GlobalLogic is seeking a Mobile Tech Lead to oversee the technical execution and strategic direction of mobile development for a sophisticated medical technology platform. This role involves managing a dedicated mobile unit, focusing on the maintenance of legacy systems and the continued development of a next-generation native application. You will be responsible for the end-to-end mobile lifecycle, including high-performance visualization using OpenGL, while ensuring all deliverables meet the strict requirements of a regulated healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Professional Experience: 6–8 years of experience in mobile software engineering, with a proven track record in a leadership or senior capacity.
• iOS Expertise: Deep technical proficiency in iOS development utilizing Swift and SwiftUI.
• Visualization Skills: Significant experience with OpenGL for high-performance 2D/3D visualization on mobile devices.
• Regulated Industry Knowledge: Strong experience delivering software within a regulated framework (e.g., medical devices or healthcare) is highly preferred.
• Release Management: Extensive experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and app-store release automation.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effectively coordinating with distributed technical teams.

Job responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary tech lead for the mobile unit, assuming full ownership of the codebase, build pipeline, and release cadence.
• Visualization Strategy: Lead the implementation and optimization of complex medical visualizations using OpenGL to ensure high-performance rendering.
• Legacy Maintenance: Oversee ongoing maintenance for legacy applications, addressing labeling compliance, OS-version compatibility, and Design History File (DHF) remediation.
• New App Development: Drive feature development for a new native mobile application, managing the transition from external partners through structured knowledge transfer.
• CI/CD & Release: Manage mobile-specific CI/CD pipelines and app-store release tooling to ensure a stable, automated delivery process.
• Regulated Compliance: Ensure all mobile development aligns with regulated product delivery standards and provides necessary migration documentation.
