Mobile Automation QA Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Mobile Quality Engineer who combines strong QA fundamentals, hands-on mobile automation, and AI-assisted engineering practices to deliver high-quality iOS and Android applications.

This role is ideal for someone who can combine mobile automation, manual testing, and AI-assisted workflows to improve product quality, release confidence, and team productivity.
This is an AI-first QA role focused on modern mobile automation, agentic workflows, shift-left testing practices, and hands-on validation of iOS and Android applications.
 

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and execute automated tests for native and hybrid iOS and Android applications.
• Perform manual, exploratory, regression, and compatibility testing across mobile devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
• Develop scalable automation using Appium and WebdriverIO for mobile applications and Playwright for web-based applications.
• Use AI-assisted tools such as Codex, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to accelerate automation, debugging, refactoring, and test coverage improvements.
• Build reusable automation assets, prompts, and agentic workflows to support test creation, maintenance, and release validation.
• Own quality and release readiness through automated testing, risk identification, defect tracking, and continuous validation.
• Partner closely with engineering, product, design, and QA teams to embed quality early in the development lifecycle.
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, automation coverage, and clear documentation using tools such as Xray or TestRail.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
   

Requirements:

• 5+ years of QA experience, including hands-on testing of iOS and Android applications.
• Strong experience with mobile automation and modern testing practices.
• Practical experience with Appium and WebdriverIO.
• Hands-on experience automating web-based applications with Playwright.
• Strong manual testing skills, including test design, exploratory testing, regression testing, and defect reporting.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
• Experience using AI-assisted development or QA tools such as Codex, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Ability to build or improve reusable automation skills, prompts, and agentic workflows.
• Strong understanding of mobile applications, web applications, APIs, test coverage, and release validation.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Xray/TestRail, BrowserStack, Charles Proxy, and CI/CD processes is a plus.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English communication skills.
• Availability to work until at least 12:00 PM ET (7 pm or 8 pm Kyiv time), Monday through Friday.
