Solution Architect profile

About the Role

We're part of the team digitising store design at a major global retailer - think Revit modelling, layout planning, and range validation for new store formats. The goal is cutting time-to-design by 50%, and the remaining gains come from automation.

We need a consultant who can assess current workflows, design practical automation solutions, and get stakeholders aligned. This isn't a pure dev role it's consulting and solution design, with some hands-on delivery of quick wins along the way.

Responsibilities

• Analyse store design workflows and identify what's worth automating
• Design scalable solutions for store planning and layout processes
• Run workshops with business, product, and engineering teams
• Build a phased automation roadmap with priorities, effort estimates, and dependencies
• Coordinate with external teams (e.g. Retail Concept) on integration points
• Lead delivery of fast wins within the Store Layout workstream

Requirements

Must-have:

• 10+ years in BIM/CAD consulting or solution architecture
• Strong hands-on Revit and Dynamo skills
• Experience delivering store or retail design solutions at scale
• Comfortable facilitating workshops and aligning diverse stakeholders
• Strong English, written and verbal

Nice-to-have:

• Architecture or construction background (Master's preferred)
• Familiarity with BIM standards and template frameworks
• Cross-org stakeholder management experience
