System Administrator

We are looking for a person who will be responsible for the maintenance of corporate devices, networks, VPN, and third-party systems. This position requires knowledge of and experience with corporate Mac OS IT systems of various types and a proven ability to learn new skills in a constantly changing technical environment. Requirements: 

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
  • Confident knowledge of the principles of network technologies
  • Positive, can-do attitude and teamwork
  • Ready to learn and self-improve
  • Intermediate level of English

 

Will be a plus:

  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems/cabling
  • Experience with Apple hardware & software
  • Ability to perform small repairs related to cabling/electrical wiring, etc.
  • Own car and ability to use it for work-related tasks

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research and provide better alternatives to the current IT solutions used within the company
  • Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems (mostly Mac OS) and office equipment
  • Support corporate IT infrastructure and quickly resolve any issues stopping business operations
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • Consulting users on technical questions
  • Support business operations from an IT standpoint, including onboarding, off-boarding new employees, setting up new systems, etc.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
