Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS/Android)

About the role:

This is a part-time project-based role, ideal as a side project. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile SDKs for iOS and Android platforms.
• Build reusable, scalable, and well-documented SDK components for integration into customer applications.
• Develop APIs, interfaces, and integration layers that simplify SDK adoption by external developers.
• Collaborate with backend, ML, and product teams to deliver new SDK capabilities.
• Integrate AI, computer vision, and image-processing functionality into mobile SDKs.
• Optimize SDK performance, stability, memory consumption, and battery usage.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, sample projects, and integration guides.
• Troubleshoot customer integration issues and support SDK adoption.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, and Android development.
• Experience building reusable mobile frameworks, libraries, SDKs, or platform components.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and API design.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
• Strong Git workflow and code review practices.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables with limited supervision.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience building commercial SDKs used by external customers.
• Experience with mobile camera frameworks (AVFoundation, CameraX).
• Experience with image processing, computer vision, or AI-powered mobile products.
• Experience with real-time video streaming.
• Experience optimizing mobile performance and memory consumption.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile SDKs.
• Startup experience.
