C++ Developer

We're looking for a Senior C++ Developer to support the development of custom Chromium-based browser solutions. You'll work on browser-level modifications, automation detection evasion, and web scraping infrastructure, tackling technically challenging problems alongside a highly skilled engineering team. This is a freelance engagement of around 50 hours per month with flexible working hours and remote collaboration.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Modifying and maintaining custom Chromium-based browser builds.
• Analyzing and mitigating common browser automation fingerprints and detection vectors.
• Implementing solutions to reduce browser automation detectability.
• Working closely with web scraping infrastructure and browser automation systems.
• Building, maintaining, and optimizing Chromium build environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshooting browser-level issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to design scalable and reliable data extraction solutions.

What we expect from you:

• Strong commercial experience with C++.
• Proven experience working with the Chromium open-source project.
• Hands-on experience forking, modifying, and rebuilding Chromium.
• Deep understanding of browser internals, networking, rendering processes, and automation detection techniques.
• Extensive experience with web scraping projects, particularly on websites protected by advanced anti-bot systems.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium, including their detection vectors.
• Experience setting up and maintaining Chromium build pipelines and development environments.
• Senior-level engineering expertise with the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
