Senior Backend Python Developer (Django)

We’re preferably looking for someone based in Asia, or someone who has already relocated there from Europe.

We’re also open to candidates in Europe who are comfortable working night shifts due to the timezone overlap requirements with the client in Australia.

Right now we need someone ASAP for a full-time 2-week discovery phase. The key requirement is an early start and at least partial overlap with the client’s working hours.

After the discovery phase, the plan is to continue with a long-term full-time engagement, ideally with the same engineer staying on the project. However, the long-term setup will require working mostly within the Australian timezone (~1–2 AM to 11–12 PM Kyiv time).

So we’re looking either for someone who is comfortable with a night schedule, or for a candidate located in a more suitable timezone (Thailand, Bali, etc.).

Must have

Python - 5+ years

Django and Django Ninja - 5+ years

AWS - 3+ years (last projects)

Client is from Australia - early start required for overlap with the team
Starting from 7:00 AM Kyiv time (the more overlap, the better)
English level B2 and higher (communication with native speakers)

Australian client with an existing web platform focused on memberships, payments, and administration workflows. The platform is already live and built with Python/Django on AWS.

The project includes ongoing platform development, stabilization, and gradual migration from a legacy system into the modern architecture. Looking for a Python Engineer to support discovery, improvements, integrations, and migration-related initiatives.
