Senior Golang Software Engineer

What is this project about?

Our client provides software for fitness and wellness businesses to manage their operations and for their customers to book their services. They aim to make software accessible to the entire market, not just larger premises-based businesses. Since 2017, they have grown to support thousands of businesses and hundreds of thousands of their customers.

Hard skills

• 5+ years of commercial experience with Golang;
• Strong understanding of API development principles, with hands-on experience in REST, GraphQL, and gRPC;
• Solid experience working with MySQL databases, including optimization and complex queries;
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for cloud orchestration and deployment management;
• Proficiency in caching mechanisms, particularly Redis;
  Experience with RabbitMQ;
• Familiarity with load-balancing concepts and tools like HaProxy;
• Good communication skills;
• English – Upper-Intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to architect, develop, and maintain new services;
• Implement new features in existing services;
• Enforce rigorous code quality across all aspects of the platform;
• Assist the Head of Development with the optimization and maintenance of cloud services;
• Research and implement new tools and technologies to streamline development processes.
