For an incredible company, we are looking for a CTO who will take full ownership of the company’s technical direction — from architecture and SDLC processes to engineering team development and scalable product solutions.

This role is a great fit for someone who is comfortable combining hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities, can work effectively in a high-load environment, and is able to make technical decisions aligned with business goals.

Requirements and skills:

• 7+ years of commercial engineering experience
• 2+ years in a CTO / Head of Engineering / Tech Lead role with ownership of production environment
• Strong frontend expertise with TypeScript, Vue 3+, Nuxt 3+, SSR/SSG/CSR, PWA, cache optimization, and bundle optimization for high-load systems
• Solid backend expertise with Node.js, NestJS, REST APIs, authentication/JWT, validation, and DTO architecture
• Experience working with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Prisma or TypeORM, Redis, queues/pub-sub systems (BullJS), WebSocket/Socket.IO, and Kafka/event-driven architecture
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare ecosystem including Workers, Pages, Wrangler, KV, Durable Objects, routing, proxying, and edge caching
• Strong understanding of DevOps and infrastructure practices including Docker, AWS (EC2/S3), GitLab CI/CD, PM2, Nginx/Varnish, environment management, and deployment/rollback strategies
• Experience with technical planning, architecture review, investigation, and solution validation
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to build and manage engineering processes end-to-end

Nice to have:

• Experience working with multi-brand or whitelabel infrastructures
• Experience with high-risk traffic systems, bot protection, redirects, and country guards
• Experience integrating PSPs and handling event/error flows
• Knowledge of Golang, BigQuery, Google API integrations, Strapi v4, GrowthBook, and A/B testing systems
• Experience with Storybook and UI Kit ownership
• Process automation experience, including AI-driven solutions
• Experience with observability tools for logs, metrics, alerting, and incident response

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and support of the company’s frontend, backend, cloudflare edge infrastructure, CMS, internal tools, and integrations
• Own and manage SDLC processes including roadmap planning, estimation, sprint/release management, incident management, and release control
• Conduct technical reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to team growth and development
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technical solutions and architectural approaches
• Work closely with business stakeholders on requirements decomposition, risk assessment, prioritization, and technical consulting for other departments
• Participate in hiring, performance evaluation, and team development
• Maintain and improve documentation for critical parts of the system
