QA Engineer
Come Back Agency supports US software and technology companies by running their hiring process. We work with delivery and leadership teams to define roles, screen candidates, and manage interviews. Successful candidates are hired directly by the company and become part of its team.
This position is with a US-based software company providing custom development and AI implementation for North American clients. The team builds and maintains production software, including AI-enabled systems, and works in long-term client engagements. Team members operate as part of an internal, distributed team and collaborate directly with client stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of commercial Manual QA experience — you’ve tested real web and mobile products, not only course projects
- Strong QA fundamentals — you understand SDLC, STLC, testing types and methods, and know when to use functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
- Test documentation — you write clear test cases, checklists, and bug reports, and work confidently with bug-tracking systems
- Technical understanding — you know how client-server architecture works and can test APIs at a basic level
- Independence and structure — you can plan testing for a new feature, assess risks before a release, and argue for bug priority
- English B2
What You’ll Do:
- Testing — run functional testing of web and mobile applications and verify new features before release
- Regression — perform regression testing and retesting after bug fixes
- Bug tracking — find, report, and track bugs through to resolution
- Documentation — create and maintain test documentation
- Teamwork — analyze requirements and work closely with developers
- Process — suggest and help implement improvements to QA processes
Nice to Have:
- Tools — Postman, Jira, SQL, DevTools
- Automation basics — Selenium, JUnit, or simple scripts in Python, JavaScript, or Java
- Performance testing — JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools
- CI/CD — understanding of how testing fits into the delivery pipeline
- ISTQB certificate
