QA Automation Engineer - Trainee

Trainee / Junior QA Automation Engineer (Java)
 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee / Junior AQA (Automation Quality Assurance) Engineer to join our growing team.

This position is a great opportunity for candidates who want to start or continue their career in QA Automation using Java, Selenide, or Selenium while also gaining strong experience in manual testing. This is a fully remote position.
 

We are open to both:

• Trainee candidates with strong motivation and basic technical knowledge
• Strong Junior QA Engineers looking to grow in automation
   

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop automated test scripts using Java with Selenide or Selenium for web applications.
• Perform manual testing of web applications and verify product functionality.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
• Execute test cases, analyze results, and report bugs clearly and accurately.
• Participate in test planning, estimations, and review sessions.
• Maintain and improve existing automated test cases.
• Learn modern QA methodologies, automation approaches, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to improving overall product quality and testing processes.
   

Requirements

• Basic understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of Java programming language.
• Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver or Selenide is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of OOP concepts.
• Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of Git is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) would be an advantage.
   

Nice to Have

• Personal or educational automation projects.
• Understanding of API testing concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools or test reporting tools is a plus.
