Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and inquisitive QA Engineer to join our team.

Our client is a product company based in Germany that provides a platform designed to help people gain practical skills in the IT sector through hands-on experience. The main objective is to ensure product stability, usability, and continuous improvement through structured testing and feedback.

 

This is a long-term, full-time remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual test cases and test plans for web and mobile applications.
  • Identify, reproduce, and report bugs in a structured and clear manner.
  • Assist developers in replicating bugs and collaborate closely to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Provide proactive usability feedback and suggestions to enhance different systems or software.
  • Support continuous testing during maintenance and release cycles.
  • Monitoring errors in the system and discussing them with other colleagues.

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer in a software development company.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard QA methodologies, testing types, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong experience in testing mobile (iOS/Android) and/or web applications.
  • Excellent bug-reporting skills and familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira or similar).
  • Ability to translate user experience (UX) issues into actionable technical feedback.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (to understand system architecture and logs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher).
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a strong eye for detail.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Basic understanding of test automation concepts.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or technical support QA role.
