Role Overview 

We are looking for a Senior / Lead Engineer with deep frontend and full-stack capabilities inside the Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecosystem. This is a senior IC role — not a manager, but a technical leader. You'll drive architecture and implementation decisions across client storefronts, own the frontend quality bar, and shape how our team builds within SFCC.

You'll work across SFCC's full surface area — PWA Kit, SCAPI, headless and hybrid architectures, and Business Manager — while bringing genuine frontend craft to every engagement. You won't be limited to SFRA cartridge work; the expectation is that you can reason across the stack and lead implementation from the presentation layer down through the platform APIs.

This role is right for someone who has grown past executing tasks and is ready to own outcomes — technically, communicatively, and on behalf of clients who depend on us.

Essential Functions

• Help to drive a frontend and full-stack development across active SFCC client engagements — including PWA Kit (React/Next.js), headless storefronts, hybrid implementations, and SFRA-based projects where required
• Own frontend architecture decisions: component structure, state management, performance, accessibility, and rendering strategy within the SFCC ecosystem
• Drive SCAPI and OCAPI integration design — payment providers, loyalty, marketing automation, OMS, and other third-party systems
• Serve as the senior technical voice in client-facing conversations — able to present architecture tradeoffs, set expectations, and instill confidence with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
• Lead code reviews and define implementation standards; elevate the quality of work across the engineering team
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through pairing, review, and direct coaching
• Collaborate with delivery leads on scoping, sequencing, and risk identification — contributing to technical estimates and SOWs when needed
• Evaluate and adopt emerging SFCC capabilities (Composable Storefront, SCAPI extensions, Einstein) and help the team stay current

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful tenure on SFCC platform projects
• Strong frontend engineering fundamentals — React (required), component architecture, CSS, performance optimization, and accessibility
• Hands-on experience with PWA Kit / Composable Storefront architecture; comfortable working in a headless or hybrid SFCC context
• Solid working knowledge of SFRA for maintenance, migration, and hybrid integrations — not the primary lens, but not foreign either
• Proven experience designing and implementing integrations via SCAPI and OCAPI
• Strong understanding of ecommerce fundamentals — catalog, promotions, checkout, OMS, and order lifecycle
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication; comfortable owning the technical narrative with clients
• Prior experience in an agency, consultancy, or multi-client delivery environment strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead — through influence, code quality, and example — without relying on a management title
