Description

GlobalLogic is seeking a Solutions Architect with at least 8 years of experience to lead the technical design and evolution of a high-impact medical technology platform. In this role, you will be responsible for pod-side architecture, integration design, and the long-term refactor strategy for a suite of products across frontend and backend environments. Your primary focus will be on overhauling web service architecture, optimizing loading performance, and ensuring system scalability within a multi-region SaaS environment.

Requirements

• Professional Experience: 8+ years of experience in software architecture and high-level system design.
• Cloud & Backend Focus: Extensive experience architecting Node.js and Python-based services specifically within AWS environments.
• General Frontend Knowledge: Good grasp of modern frontend architectures (e.g., Vue or React) for large-scale web applications.
• SaaS Architecture: Proven track record in designing and maintaining multi-region SaaS architectures.
• Regulated Industry Knowledge: Significant experience delivering software within a regulated environment (e.g., medical technology or healthcare) is highly preferred.
• Observability Stack: Proficient in using observability and performance tools such as Grafana.
• Data Engineering: Strong grasp of data architecture principles and techniques for optimizing complex query performance.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to coordinate architecture-level changes and leadership strategies across distributed teams.
• English: Advanced.

Job responsibilities

• Architecture Overhaul: Develop comprehensive proposals to overhaul web service architecture, specifically focusing on reducing coupling and improving system observability.
• Cloud & Backend Focus: Lead the architectural strategy for Node.js and Python-based services hosted within AWS.
• Performance Optimization: Lead efforts to reduce load-time performance pain points and optimize backend data retrieval.
• Data & Query Strategy: Apply a deep understanding of data architecture and query performance to optimize end-to-end workflows.
• Observability: Utilize tools like Grafana to monitor system health and establish performance baselines and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Governance & Standards: Align all production-touching changes with internal architecture leadership to ensure all deliverables pass internal review gates.
• Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance for the engineering bench to ensure technical debt remediation and usability enhancements align with the broader vision.
