Senior React Engineer

About the Role 

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help build and scale modern web and hybrid applications. You’ll work with React, React Native, GraphQL, REST API, and hybrid mobile technologies to deliver secure, maintainable, and performant user experiences. Our stack includes Vite, Webpack, Storybook, and Material-UI, and we work in a monorepo setup using Nx. We value clean architecture, meaningful tests, CI/CD maturity, performance, and security across the development lifecycle. 

Responsibilities:

• Work with the team, design and implement new functionality for our web-based applications based on product objectives and requirements. 
• Build and maintain scalable UIs using React, React Native and TypeScript  
• Develop hybrid mobile applications (experience with any additional hybrid tech is welcome)  
• Design, review, and integrate APIs in collaboration with backend engineers  
• Work closely with our design team and build user-facing interfaces that align to our design standards 
• Break down complex work into small, self-contained deliverables  
• Apply secure coding practices and focus on performance optimization  
• Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and coordinate cross-platform feature improvements, bug fixes, and technical enhancements 

• Collaborate effectively while maintaining a high degree of independence 

   

Requirements: 

• Deep expertise in React and modern frontend engineering  
• Experience building hybrid apps (React Native, Capacitor or similar frameworks) 
• Proficiency in modern TypeScript and type-safe development practices  
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, component-based architecture, and experience working with Storybook  
• A good sense of design, and an understanding of the principles of good UI/UX 
• Experience with Material-UI or another design system, with deep knowledge of theming and customization  
• Experience with GraphQL, including schema design and API integration  
• Experience with Apollo Client and/or React Query, with a clear understanding of caching strategies  
• Familiarity with modern build tools like Vite and Webpack  
• Experience writing and maintaining tests using React Testing Library and Storybook  
• Strong understanding and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines  
• Highly self-organized and able to effectively prioritize work  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English  
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience working in a monorepo setup (we use Nx, but experience with any monorepo tooling such as TurboRepo is valuable)  
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms like Bitrise  
• Awareness of OWASP and general web security best practices
