About the role: We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer (Backend) who will become a key quality owner within the team β someone who is not just testing endpoints, but deeply understands product logic, user flows, and how backend stability directly impacts user experience at scale.
In this role, you will
- Perform manual backend testing using API tools and databases for Mobile and Web applications
- Conduct smoke, sanity, regression, and functional testing for new and existing features
- Create and maintain test documentation including test cases, checklists, and bug reports
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and all stages of the SDLC
- Analyze requirements and actively participate in feature decomposition and estimations
- Investigate, reproduce, and report bugs with clear prioritization and detailed context
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders as a QA feature owner
- Validate A/B tests and support feature quality during experiments and releases
Itβs all about you
- 2+ years of commercial experience in backend manual testing
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
- Strong practical knowledge of Postman, Swagger, and API testing approaches
- Experience working with proxy/debugging tools such as Charles, Fiddler, or similar
- Experience testing backend systems using relational or non-relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Understanding of QA processes, SDLC, Scrum, DoR, and DoD principles
- Experience creating test documentation from scratch
- Ability to analyze requirements and identify edge cases independently
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence
- Experience with A/B testing and validating experiment results
- Intermediate+ level of English
- Ability to quickly understand complex product logic and new technical concepts
Would be a plus:
- Experience with A/B testing
- Experience collaborating with Product Support teams
- Expertise with MongoDB testing
