QA Automation Engineer

About the Project

We are building a multi-agent AI system for automated sales. The product is already live — real clients, real revenue. Every change we make has a direct impact on results.

We move fast: shipping new features, iterating on product logic. We need someone who can build a regression test suite from scratch and keep the system stable as we scale.

Current team: CTO / Fullstack, AI Automation Engineer, DevOps, Frontend, and Product Owner.

What You Will Do

• Build a regression test suite from scratch for a live AI system
• Write automated tests for API integrations (third-party services, LLM providers)
• Cover critical flows: message processing, automation triggers, background tasks
• Validate data consistency across services and verify response correctness
• Test AI component behavior: output correctness, safety boundaries, regressions
• Investigate bugs using logs, payloads, and monitoring tools
• Define acceptance criteria and smoke checks before each deployment

Requirements

• Experience writing automated tests for APIs and third-party integrations [must]
• TypeScript — the primary language used across the entire codebase [must]
• Active daily use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) [must]
• Ability to read JSON, inspect request/response payloads, and work with logs
• Understanding of async systems: retry logic, queues, background job processing
• Self-sufficient: able to ask the right questions and move forward independently

Nice to Have

• Experience testing LLM, chatbot, or conversational AI systems
• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, or Vitest
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, or Elasticsearch
• Understanding of observability tooling (Kibana or similar)

First Month

• Learn the core system flows and key integrations
• Identify the highest-risk areas and prioritize coverage accordingly
• Run the first regression tests on the most critical flows
• Contribute to defining acceptance criteria for upcoming tasks

Hiring Process

1. Recruiter screen (30 min) — check of core requirements

2. Resume review by the tech lead — technical profile assessment

3. Technical assessment (~2 hrs) — show us how you think and research

4. Joint interview — CTO + Product Owner
