Senior DevOps Engineer(Hybrid role from Kraków)

Project Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale international engineering team working on a modern cloud-based platform in the Banking & Finance domain.

The environment combines cloud and on-premises infrastructure, with a strong focus on automation, CI/CD, infrastructure reliability, and DevSecOps best practices. The role offers significant ownership and involvement in shaping the platform’s technical direction.

The overall team consists of approximately 100 specialists located across Poland, India, the US, and Canada. The InfraPOD team includes 6 engineers working mainly within Polish business hours.

Hybrid role from Kraków

Important: onsite presence in Kraków is required 2 days per week.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering
• Strong practical experience with GCP and cloud infrastructure
• Solid expertise in Jenkins, Ansible, Cloud Build, and CI/CD automation
• Strong scripting skills with Shell and Python
• Experience working with Linux systems and containerized environments
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles
• Experience with IBM MQ, sFTP integrations, and TLS certificate management
• Experience working in Java or Python-based environments
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed global teams
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English

Nice to Have

• Experience with Go
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, Flux, Docker, and GitHub
• Experience working with REST APIs using Shell or Python
• Familiarity with Oracle and CloudSQL
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Solace
• Experience with IBM and Q Platform

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain infrastructure architecture
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using IaC practices
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across cloud and on-prem environments
• Support production and non-production systems together with development, SRE, and DBA teams
• Identify automation opportunities and implement end-to-end solutions
• Maintain MQ and sFTP integrations with external partners
• Coordinate disaster recovery activities, patching, and infrastructure upgrades
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and network-related issues
• Perform gap analysis and recommend system improvements
