Senior Developer

Our design and digital studio is looking for a senior developer in Kyiv to join our studio and help build refined, bespoke websites for brand, commerce, and digital product clients.
 

This is not a generic WordPress or template implementation role. We are looking for someone who has real experience building custom, design-forward websites from scratch, especially for design studios, creative agencies, premium brands, or high-end digital products.

You should be comfortable owning both front-end and back-end development, working closely with designers, translating detailed design systems into polished production websites, and making smart technical decisions without needing heavy supervision.

What you’ll work on

You’ll help build custom websites and digital systems for clients across brand, e-commerce, editorial, and product experiences.
 

Projects may include:

• Bespoke marketing websites
• Headless CMS builds
• Headless e-commerce experiences
• Shopify and Shopify Plus builds
• Custom front-end systems
• API integrations
• Experimental or interaction-heavy websites

• Design-forward digital experiences that need to feel highly polished

   

You’ll work directly with designers and strategists, so strong taste, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential.
 

Requirements

You must have:

• 5+ years of experience
• C1 English or higher
• Based in Kyiv
• Able to work from our office in Kyiv city center at least 4 days per week
• Strong front-end and back-end development ability
• Real experience building custom websites from scratch
• Experience working with design agencies, creative studios, or design-forward teams
• Strong understanding of responsive design, performance, accessibility, and production-quality implementation
• Ability to work independently and make senior-level technical decisions
   

Technical experience we’re looking for

You should have strong experience with:

• Modern front-end development
• Back-end development
• Headless CMS architecture
• Sanity
• Headless e-commerce
• Shopify and Shopify Plus
• REST API integrations
• GraphQL API integrations
• Custom CMS and commerce workflows
• Bespoke website builds, not just templates or theme modifications

• Experimental development, motion, interaction, and polished front-end details

   

You do not need to know every tool perfectly, but you do need to be senior enough to figure things out quickly, make good architectural decisions, and ship excellent work.

What this role is not

This is not a role for someone who has only worked with basic themes, simple landing pages, or low-code tools.

This is also not a junior or mid-level role. We need someone who can operate as a senior developer and take responsibility for the quality of the final product.
 

Compensation

$2,500-$3000 USD per month

This is a full-time role based in Kyiv with a minimum of 4 days per week in person from our office in the city center.
