Our client is a fast-growing managed services provider for enterprise and business customers, based in New York City. With over 25 years of experience, the company is deeply committed to meeting the unique needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), namely for healthcare, non-profit organizations, retail, financial services and manufacturing.
The company provides Level 2 and 3 services, cloud, managed and cybersecurity services to organizations with their own IT departments. Through a high degree of automation and integration between various internal programs and services, it ensures the efficient delivery of technology services, such as: IT support outsourcing, ITaaS, IaaS, SaaS, colocation, hosting, private and public cloud services, cybersecurity, network security and management, etc.
Employment Type: Hybrid (New York City), Office-based, or Remote (within the USA).
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• PROJECT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT: Drive end-to-end management for cybersecurity and IT systems projects, including the implementation of security tools, vulnerability remediation, and system deployments.
• STRATEGIC COORDINATION: Define project scope, milestones, timelines, priorities and resource requirements through active communication with customers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• TECHNICAL GOVERNANCE: Lead cybersecurity risk assessments, oversee patch management cycles, and manage the full lifecycle of IT systems and control implementations. Apply Level 2/3 engineering skills to lead planning and service delivery.
• TEAM LEADERSHIP: Lead cross-functional teams and participate in team building and recruitment efforts.
• VENDOR & ASSET OVERSIGHT: Evaluate new technologies, manage vendor relationships and contracts, and track the creation of technical and billing documentation.
TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE: Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including 3+ years specifically in Cybersecurity project management.
• SYSTEMS & TOOLS: Working knowledge of ITIL, IPAM, and MSP software (ConnectWise or Kaseya), alongside familiarity with SIEM, Vulnerability Management, GRC, and endpoint security applications.
• CERTIFICATIONS: PMP, CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certifications are a significant advantage.
• LEADERSHIP & COMMUNICATION: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and excel in customer-facing communications.
• MSP BACKGROUND: Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is highly desirable.
