Requirements:
Banking & Payment Ecosystem Expertise
—Industry Depth: Extensive background in banking instruments, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and global payment systems.
—FinTech & Digital Assets: Deep expertise in FinTech infrastructure, investment products, crypto assets, and tokenized financial instruments.
—Market Dynamics: Solid understanding of portfolio logic, risk management, liquidity mechanisms, and market dynamics across equities, debt, and funds.
Strategic Sales & Business Development
—High-Ticket Sales: Proven track record of selling complex financial solutions and infrastructure products to institutional clients, merchants, or HNWIs.
—Revenue Growth: Demonstrated ability to originate, negotiate, and close high-value partnerships with a strong focus on commercial KPIs and revenue generation.
—International Expansion: Hands-on experience in promoting and scaling payment services across diverse international markets.
Leadership & Structural Thinking
—Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to build sales structures from scratch, manage teams (Lead/Supervisor level), and implement scalable business development processes.
—CEO Mindset: Ability to operate with CEO- or Product Owner-level accountability for market adoption and overall commercial execution.
Execution & Personal Accountability
—Strategic Autonomy: High degree of independence; able to formulate high-level strategies, defend them, and personally drive them to completion.
—Hands-on Approach: Capability to transition seamlessly from strategy to independent execution, maintaining high performance without immediate reliance on subordinates.
Responsibilities:
—Strategic Leadership & Product Development Strategic Alignment: Define and align the product’s strategic direction with C-level leadership and broader business objectives. Business Ownership: Act as the Senior Business Owner, ensuring a balance between product strategy, commercial growth, and financial performance. Global Expansion: Design and implement a global strategy for infrastructure solution adoption and market penetration. Ecosystem Development: Expand product utility by introducing new use cases across both internal company services and external business applications.
—Commercial Growth & Institutional Sales Sales Cycle Management: Directly manage the full sales cycle, from partner identification to closing deals with banks and financial institutions. Institutional Partnerships: Identify and execute strategic opportunities with funds, capital market participants, and crypto-native partners. Promotion & Commercialization: Lead the promotion and commercialization of the company’s tools and infrastructure to drive market share growth. Pipeline Development: Build and manage a strong partnership pipeline to drive monetization and ensure the long-term market relevance of the product.
—Financial Management & Performance P&L Management: Define and optimize Profit and Loss (P&L) for product-related business lines, including budgeting, revenue planning, and cost control. Revenue Stream Creation: Identify and launch new revenue streams linked to product utility and its integration across the ecosystem. Liquidity Strategy: Design and implement market strategies to support liquidity, stability, and the long-term value of the asset. Metrics & Analytics: Define and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue, trading volume, retention rates, and partner contribution.
—Ecosystem & Regulatory Relations Networking: Establish and maintain relationships with financial networks, clearinghouses, and regulators. Investor Relations: Lead discussions with investors and partners regarding market positioning, capital opportunities, and strategic expansion. Compliance & Risk: Ensure alignment with legal requirements across various jurisdictions; oversee operational, legal, and regulatory risk management.
—Operational Management & Leadership Cross-functional Coordination: Synchronize efforts across engineering, security, legal, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure effective product delivery. Team Building: Structure the sales department, including recruiting and developing the team following the initial launch phase. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitive developments to continuously refine the execution strategy.
