DevOps Engineer (AWS-focused)

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join Emilus and help us build reliable cloud infrastructure for European SaaS products.
 

You will work with startup and SaaS teams that need to move fast while keeping their systems stable, secure, and cost-efficient.

💻 What you’ll do

• Design, set up, and maintain AWS environments
• Build infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK
• Create and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes-based environments
• Monitor system performance, stability, and infrastructure costs
• Improve security, scalability, and reliability of cloud systems
• Support deployment processes and production operations
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams

You will own the cloud infrastructure for client products — from initial setup to ongoing optimization.

✅ Requirements

AWS & Cloud Infrastructure

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
• Strong experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, IAM, VPC
• Ability to set up a full cloud environment from scratch
• AWS certification: Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer —
• Associate or Professional level

Infrastructure as Code

• Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK
• Ability to write clean, reusable Terraform modules

CI/CD & Containers

• Experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Strong knowledge of Docker
• Experience with Kubernetes

Monitoring & Operations

• Experience with CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, or similar tools

• Understanding of production monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting

   

General

• English — Upper-Intermediate+
• Clear communication and ownership

• Experience working with remote or async teams

   

⭐ Nice to have

• Experience with multi-account AWS setups: Organizations, Control Tower
• Familiarity with security best practices: SOC2, CIS benchmarks
• Background working with SaaS or startup environments
• AWS cost optimization experience
• Incident response / production troubleshooting experience
