Job Description

• Proven hands-on experience with core AWS serverless services: Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, and DynamoDB.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture using EventBridge and SQS.
• Proficiency in securing cloud applications using IAM best practices, KMS for key management, and experience with identity providers (OKTA/Keycloak).
• Experience configuring Route53 and CloudFront for secure static site and asset delivery.
• Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Serverless Framework, or CloudFormation/CDK.
• Experience setting up secure, compliant systems in regulated industries — healthcare/HIPAA preferred.
• Familiarity with deployment pipelines for Angular applications and Unity components is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with frontend/backend developers and data scientists.

Job Responsibilities

• Serverless Infrastructure & Architecture: Architect, deploy, and manage scalable serverless infrastructure on AWS, utilizing Lambda, API Gateway, and AppSync for high-performance API delivery.
• Event-Driven Orchestration: Design and implement decoupled, event-driven workflows using EventBridge and SQS to ensure reliable asynchronous processing.
• Content Delivery & Networking: Manage global content delivery and DNS configuration using CloudFront, S3, and Route53, ensuring low latency for Angular frontends and Unity assets.
• Security & Compliance: Implement strict security controls in a regulated environment (healthcare/HIPAA). This includes managing IAM roles/policies, granular access control, and encryption using KMS.
• Database Management: Configure and optimize DynamoDB tables for performance and scale, including capacity planning and integration with AppSync/Lambda.
• Observability & Monitoring: Maintain comprehensive system visibility by setting up dashboards, logs, and alarms in CloudWatch (Logs, Metrics, Traces) to monitor application health and Lambda performance.
• CI/CD Pipeline: Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/CodePipeline) to support the automated deployment of serverless functions, frontend applications, and infrastructure.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the provisioning of all AWS resources listed above using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

Department/Project Description

We are developing a modern Angular-based web application integrated with Unity for visualizing 3D medical models. The system enables clinicians to create and manage medical cases for patients, and leverages machine learning pipelines to analyze medical records. Our infrastructure is built on AWS with secure identity management via OKTA. Key AWS services include EKS, EFS, S3, and Lambda. We may incorporate Step Functions and Airflow for orchestration.
