Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Kubernetes, Python, FinOps)

Project Overview

You will be the architect and guardian of a cloud ecosystem — responsible for designing, deploying, and scaling infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, with a heavy emphasis on Python automation and strategic cloud cost optimization (FinOps). The ideal candidate doesn't just build systems but obsesses over making them leaner, faster, and more cost-efficient.

Requirements (Must-have):

• 4+ years as a DevOps Engineer in a production-grade cloud environment
• Deep AWS expertise — VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS, S3, Route53
• Hands-on Kubernetes at scale — Helm, Ingress controllers, cluster security
• Strong Python skills — Boto3 / AWS SDKs for complex automations and integrations
• Proven FinOps track record — measurable cloud cost reduction
• Infrastructure as Code — Terraform or Pulumi
  
  Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and AWS cloud services
• Develop automation tools and internal platforms using Python to streamline operations and CI/CD pipelines
• Lead cloud cost transparency and optimization strategy — Spot Instances, Reserved Instances, Rightsizing
• Manage and provision infrastructure using Terraform or Pulumi (IaC)
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
• Implement and manage observability stack — Prometheus, Grafana, ELK — ensuring 99.9% uptime
  
  Nice to Have:
• Experience with Pulumi alongside Terraform
• Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Platform engineering / internal developer platform (IDP) experience
