Platform SRE Engineer

We are looking for a Senior SRE / Platform SRE Engineer to support a large international engineering organization and improve reliability, observability, incident readiness, automation, and developer experience.

This role is suitable for an engineer who understands both infrastructure reliability and platform engineering, and can help product teams ship safely while reducing operational complexity.

Responsibilities

• Improve reliability and operational maturity of cloud-native systems.
• Work with Kubernetes-based production environments.
• Support incident prevention, monitoring, alerting, and observability.
• Improve deployment safety, rollback processes, and release confidence.
• Help define SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and reliability practices.
• Build automation that reduces manual operational work.
• Support developers with better tooling, visibility, and platform self-service.
• Collaborate with platform, architecture, DevOps, and product engineering teams.
• Help modernize legacy systems and operational processes.

Requirements

• Strong production experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles and reliability engineering.
• Experience with observability tools: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure.
• Good understanding of incident management, alerting, monitoring, and postmortems.
• Ability to automate repetitive operational tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams.
• Ability to work independently at senior level.

Nice to have

• Experience with AKS.
• Experience with ArgoCD or GitOps workflows.
• Experience with Terraform, Helm, or similar tools.
• Experience supporting internal developer platforms.
• Experience in SaaS or large product engineering environments.
• Experience reducing developer cognitive load through platform tooling.
