Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join a large international B2B SaaS engineering environment and help build, improve, and modernize a cloud-native platform used by multiple R&D teams.

This role is focused on Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, GitOps, observability, and developer experience. You will work on platform capabilities that reduce developer cognitive load, improve reliability, and support scalable product engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal platform engineering capabilities.
• Work with Kubernetes-based infrastructure, primarily in cloud-native environments.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure automation.
• Support GitOps-based delivery models using tools such as ArgoCD or similar.
• Help standardize platform services for engineering teams.
• Improve observability, monitoring, tracing, and operational visibility.
• Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, SRE, and architecture teams.
• Support modernization of legacy infrastructure and delivery processes.
• Help reduce operational friction for developers and improve self-service capabilities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of infrastructure automation and platform engineering practices.
• Experience with GitOps, preferably ArgoCD or similar tools.
• Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, Datadog, or similar.
• Good understanding of cloud-native architecture.
• Experience working with distributed engineering teams.
• Ability to operate independently at senior level.
• Strong communication skills in English.

• Experience with AKS / Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Experience with Terraform, Helm, Crossplane, Pulumi, or similar tools.
• Experience supporting large R&D organizations.
• Background in SRE, DevOps, or internal developer platforms.
• Experience modernizing legacy infrastructure.
