Fullstack Engineer (Next.js / Node.js)

E-Memory is a Legacy Tech startup on a mission to solve a trillion-dollar problem: the disappearance of our digital lives. Every year, millions of social media accounts are deleted or frozen, erasing decades of photos, voices, and memories. We are building the "Digital Archeology Engine" - a platform that turns fragmented social media archives into a permanent, interactive family legacy.

We have the vision, a high-fidelity prototype, and a validated waitlist. We are now looking for a Founding Engineer to lead the technical build from MVP to scale.

The Technical Challenge

You will architect and build the core infrastructure of the E-Memory ecosystem:

• The Intelligence Parser: Build a system to ingest massive, messy ZIP/JSON exports from Meta, Google, and TikTok, extracting meaningful metadata to reconstruct a life’s timeline.
• AI-Driven Narrative: Integrate LLMs (OpenAI/Anthropic) to transform raw data (captions, comments, dates) into a coherent, human-readable digital biography.

• Phygital Portals: Develop a lightning-fast Web/PWA interface triggered by physical QR-anchors (placed on memorial stones or family heirlooms), providing an instant "media sanctuary" without app downloads.

   

The Tech Stack

• Frontend: Next.js (SSR is a must for performance and SEO).
• Backend: Node.js (TypeScript) / Python (for AI pipelines).
• Data/Infra: PostgreSQL (Supabase/Prisma) + AWS S3 (long-term secure vaulting).

• Methodology: We value "shipping over perfection." You should be comfortable with rapid iteration.

• Product-Minded Engineer: You don’t just write code; you build products. You understand the user’s emotional journey.
• Fullstack Autonomy: You can set up a DB schema, optimize a React component, and deploy a cloud function solo.
• Zero-to-One Experience: You’ve preferably been part of an early-stage startup or have launched your own side projects to real users.
• The "Why" Factor: You believe that in the digital age, everyone deserves a permanent place in history.

• Founding Team Status: Direct influence on product roadmap, strategy, and future hiring.
• Hybrid Compensation: We offer a base salary (retainer) + equity (ownership). We are looking for a partner, not a contractor.
