Senior Java Backend Developers

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for two experienced Senior Java Backend Developers to support a long-term backend development initiative in a modern cloud-based environment.
 

Project Overview
The project focuses on the development and maintenance of scalable Java-based backend systems, built with modern microservice architectures and deployed in a cloud-native AWS environment. The client places strong emphasis on clean architecture, high code quality, CI/CD automation, and reliable system operations.
 

Role Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and evolve RESTful microservices in a distributed system landscape
Work with PostgreSQL databases and Hibernate for persistence layers
Integrate and process asynchronous messaging using Apache Kafka
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, preferably using the Atlassian suite (Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket)
Deploy and operate applications in AWS-based environments, using Docker
Support monitoring and troubleshooting using tools such as Splunk
Collaborate closely with international development teams in an English-speaking setup

Mandatory Skills and Experience — MUST HAVE

Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot (senior level)
Strong background in RESTful microservices architectures
Proven experience with PostgreSQL and Hibernate
Solid knowledge of Apache Kafka in production environments
Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Atlassian Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket
Practical experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud-native deployments
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools, ideally Splunk
Ability to work independently in complex backend environments
Fluent English
