QA Engineer

On behalf of our Client from the UK, Mobilunity is looking for a QA Engineer.

Our Client is а rapidly growing UK-based SaaS company operating in the telecom and subscription billing domain. Its platform supports billing operations for telecom providers, resellers, and managed service providers across the UK. The company is recognized for high product quality, low customer churn, and steady growth.

They are looking for a QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience and growing exposure to automation. You will work closely with developers and product managers to ensure new features, integrations, and releases meet a high standard of quality before reaching production.
This is a hands-on role, primarily focused on manual and exploratory testing, with a clear path to deepen automation skills over time. The right candidate takes quality seriously, communicates defects clearly, and integrates naturally into an Agile delivery team.

Responsibilities:
 

Manual Testing & Quality Assurance

• Execute manual test cases, exploratory testing, and regression testing across web application and API layers
• Create clear, structured test cases from requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Test new features, enhancements, and bug fixes prior to release
• Maintain and improve regression test coverage as the product evolves

API & Integration Testing

• Perform API testing using Postman (or equivalent tooling)
• Validate integrations between platform components and third-party services
• Identify and document inconsistencies between expected and actual behaviour

Defect Management & Collaboration

• Log detailed, reproducible defects in Jira with clear steps to reproduce, expected vs actual results, and supporting evidence
• Work closely with developers to investigate, triage, and resolve issues efficiently
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, contributing QA perspective to planning and estimation

Automation & Process Improvement

• Support automation efforts where applicable, contributing to or maintaining test scripts
• Help improve QA processes, documentation, and test coverage standards
• Contribute to a culture of quality across the engineering team

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of QA or software testing experience
• Strong manual testing skills across web applications
• Experience with API testing using Postman or equivalent
• Ability to write clear, structured, and maintainable test cases
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery teams
• Familiar with Jira or similar defect tracking and project management tools
• Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach
• Good written and spoken English; able to communicate defects and findings clearly

Desirable:

• Exposure to test automation tools — Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent
• Basic understanding of JavaScript or scripting for automation support
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation
• Experience with SaaS platforms or multi-tenant systems
• Familiarity with performance or load testing concepts
