DevOps Engineer (AWS / CI/CD / Automation)

On behalf of our Client from the UK, Mobilunity is looking for a DevOps Engineer

Our Client is a fast-growing SaaS company operating in the telecom and subscription billing space. Their platform supports billing operations for telecom providers and service companies, focusing on reliability, scalability, and continuous product growth.

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to contribute to the reliability, scalability, and
automation of our platform and delivery processes. The focus is on building, improving, and
operating services through code and automation β€” supporting consistent deployments and stable
environments, while working closely with development teams in alignment with Tekton’s technical
strategy.
This is a role for someone who prioritises automation over manual intervention, takes ownership of
assigned systems, and has the proactivity to identify and resolve issues before they become
problems.

 

Core Responsibilities
CI/CD Pipelines
β€’ Build, maintain, and improve pipelines (AWS CodePipeline / CodeBuild / CodeDeploy or
equivalent) to support reliable and repeatable deployments
β€’ Work with development teams to improve deployment processes and environment
consistency
Automation & Scripting
β€’ Write and maintain Python and shell scripts to reduce manual tasks and improve operational
efficiency
β€’ Prioritise infrastructure as code and automation approaches over manual intervention
AWS & Hybrid Infrastructure
β€’ Operate and optimise workloads across AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC)
β€’ Support existing Vinters data centre environments and maintain consistency between cloud
and on-premise workloads
β€’ Contribute to infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
Containerised Environments
β€’ Build and support Docker-based and Linux containerised environments
β€’ Help provide tooling, scripts, and guidance that enable developers to deploy and operate
services in test environments
Monitoring, Observability & Reliability
β€’ Contribute to system observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, ensuring
visibility into system health
β€’ Assist in troubleshooting incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing fixes
β€’ Support reliability and performance improvements across platform infrastructure

Tekton Billing | DevOps Engineer (AWS / CI/CD / Automation) – Remote
β€’ Apply security and operational standards across infrastructure and pipelines
β€’ Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation, avoiding knowledge silos
Skills & Experience

β€’ 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering
β€’ Hands-on experience with AWS services: ECS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC
β€’ Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
β€’ Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash
β€’ Experience with Docker and Linux-based containerised environments
β€’ Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting
β€’ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
β€’ Good written and spoken English; able to collaborate asynchronously across time zones
Desirable
β€’ Infrastructure as Code experience β€” Terraform and/or CloudFormation
β€’ Exposure to hybrid environments (cloud + on-premise)
β€’ Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools
β€’ Familiarity with Node.js and backend environments (PM2 or similar)
β€’ Experience with security or compliance standards (e.g. ISO 27001)
β€’ Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus for observability
