Android Developer for Fitness IoT Project

Stormotion is a mobile-focused agency. We build products in IoT/BLE, EV & Mobility, Fitness, and HealthTech/Mental Wellbeing. Small teams, direct client communication. 

About the project
Founded in 2015 by former competitive rowers, this Berlin-based company builds connected rowing machines from the ground up (perfect devices for fitness at home). They handle the entire cycle in-house - from hardware manufacturing and assembly to software development. 

The product is now entering a new development chapter, with a total UI overhaul currently underway.

What you’ll do

• Work closely with the Tech Lead and developer from the client's side and RN dev, PM, and designer from Stormotion's side
• Ensure the app communicates perfectly with the rowing machine
• Jump on client calls to discuss requirements, trade-offs, and tech decisions

Must have

• 1+ year commercial Android experience
• Strong Kotlin/Java skills and a solid understanding of the Android SDK
• Spoken English Intermediate+: confident on calls, not only in chat

Nice to have

• Experience with Firebase SDK (Auth, Realtime Database, Firestore, Functions)
• Experience with IoT or Fitness products
