About the client

Our client is a well-established Swedish sports e-commerce company with a broad online presence and a large product catalogue. They operate a modern, high-traffic platform and are continuously evolving their technical infrastructure to support growth and improve the customer experience.

The engineering team works with distributed backend systems and places a strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and clean integrations across the stack. You'll be joining an existing team and contributing to backend development that powers their core commerce operations — from product data pipelines to order and integration flows.

Technical requirements

Core technologies

• Backend: .NET / C# (modern versions)
• Async & concurrency patterns
• REST APIs in distributed systems
• Message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar)
• Resilience patterns (retries, circuit breakers, timeouts)
• CI/CD pipelines

• Microsoft Azure (foundational knowledge or above)

   

Required skills & experience

Must have

• 7+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong grasp of async programming and concurrency in .NET
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs in distributed or microservice architectures
• Hands-on experience with message brokers and event-driven design
• Familiarity with resilience and fault-tolerance patterns
• Working knowledge of CI/CD and automated deployment workflows
• At least basic experience with Microsoft Azure
• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a professional presence in client-facing meetings

Nice to have

• Experience with PIM or e-commerce systems such as Akeneo, Shopify, or similar platforms
