Senior DevSecOps Engineer - GCP (IRC294093)
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team and take a key role in the 2026 GCP Security, IAM & Platform Hardening Initiative.
You will lead and contribute to strengthening our Google Cloud security posture by addressing IAM gaps, reducing public exposure, and establishing consistent hardening and patching practices. You will also play a critical part in completing our migration to a modern Kubernetes platform, ensuring a secure and scalable foundation for future growth.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, automate release processes, and drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC). As a trusted technical advisor, you will help teams build and deploy reliable, secure systems following industry best practices.

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on configuring, setting up, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and tools.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as CircleCI, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, or similar
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation concepts
- Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) for automation and troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrable ability to write code, tests, documentation, and other artefacts necessary to
deliver solutions to time, quality, and budget constraints - Demonstrable ability to work as part of small and varying teams of individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and levels of experience
- Demonstrable ability to build trust and relationships at appropriate levels
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Job responsibilities
- Lead the 2026 GCP Security & Platform Hardening Initiative from planning through successful delivery.
- Design, deploy, and manage CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), configuration management, version control, and monitoring tools.
- Ensure all software delivery and DevOps tooling is maintained, secure, and up to date.
- Act as a technical advisor to engineering teams on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, security, monitoring, and observability best practices.
- Identify bottlenecks and pain points in the development lifecycle and drive automation to improve delivery speed, reliability, and team efficiency.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts and workflows using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
- Build and maintain reusable IaC modules following best Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Evolve the cloud platform and service delivery model, supporting the adoption of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability solutions across teams.
- Design and deliver internal tools and software that improve developer experience and platform scalability.
- Influence and drive change within development teams by introducing new tools, processes, and ways of working.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, tooling, and operational processes.
- Continuously identify and implement process and efficiency improvements across the platform and toolset.
- Monitor system performance, perform troubleshooting, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain security and compliance best practices, including IAM, access control, encryption, and adherence to industry standards.
