Senior Quality Engineer

We are looking for a proactive Senior Quality Engineer who will take full ownership of quality across the product lifecycle.

 

This role goes beyond testing — it’s about designing, building, and improving quality engineering processes to reduce defects and ensure a high standard of product reliability. You will combine manual and automated testing approaches and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to embed quality into every stage of development, not just validate it at the end.

 

Responsibilities:
• Own and drive the quality engineering strategy and processes end-to-end
• Design and implement scalable testing approaches aligned with product needs
• Establish and promote a defect prevention mindset across the team
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests using Cypress
• Perform manual testing where it adds value (exploratory, regression, edge cases)
• Collaborate with developers, BA, PO, PM (etc) to ensure testability and quality at early stages
• Identify gaps in engineering and delivery processes and drive improvements
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term quality solutions
• Ensure high test coverage for critical product areas
• Actively participate in sprint planning, grooming, and release cycles

 

Requirements:
• 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering (manual + automation)
• Strong understanding of quality engineering principles, practices, and methodologies
• Hands-on experience with test automation (Cypress preferred)
• Solid experience with JavaScript / TypeScript in a Node.js environment
• Proven experience in building or scaling quality processes
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile development practices
• Ability to proactively identify risks and improve product quality systematically
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in API and/or performance testing
• Experience working in fast-growing or scaling teams
