Data QA Analyst

White Test Lab is looking for a Data QA Analyst to help us make our data reliable.
This is not a traditional QA role — you’ll work with messy, real-world data, identify issues, and help improve data quality at scale.
You’ll work directly with the Head of Data and CTO.

Requirements
Must-have:
 

• At least 1 year of commercial experience in manual software testing.
• Upper-intermediate English skills with the ability to understand native speakers – MUST.
• Experience with AI/ML systems testing
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness)
• Strong SQL
• Good understanding of CRUD extended operations
• Basic Python (reading/understanding code)
• Experience working with data (CSV, Excel, DBs)
• Strong analytical thinking
• Attention to detail

Nice to have:
 

• Pytest / test automation
• OCR / document parsing
• Financial data

Responsibilities
 

• Validate outputs from data pipelines (OCR → parsing → mapping → normalization)
• Analyze results (black-box approach: what’s correct vs incorrect)
• Use SQL to investigate issues and edge cases
• Identify patterns in errors, not just single bugs
• Assess impact and help prioritize fixes
• Read Python code to understand data processing
• Work with engineers to improve data quality

Postgres, Snowflake, Python, SQL, AI tools

• Financial data extraction from PDFs (OCR)
• Shareholder data extraction (OCR + regex)
• Classifying millions of companies into industries
• Other real-world data challenges
