Head of Engineering (Python/Django, SaaS)

We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to take ownership of the technical direction and engineering organization of a growing SaaS product.

The product operates in the logistics and transportation (NEMT) space. The engineering team is already established — 25+ engineers, mostly Ukrainian.

🚀 Responsibilities

• Own and drive system architecture together with the Head of Technology (US-based)
• Define technical strategy and make key decisions (Python / Django / PostgreSQL)
• Build and scale engineering culture (code quality, testing, standards)
• Manage engineering leads (Backend, Frontend, QA), not individual contributors
• Partner with Delivery Manager on planning, execution, and risk management
• Balance product delivery, tech debt, and infrastructure improvements
• Ensure product stability, reliability, and incident response processes

🧠 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years managing teams through leads/managers
• Strong hands-on background with Python, Django, PostgreSQL
• Experience working with SaaS products
• Ability to dive into architecture and complex systems
• Experience with distributed teams
• English level B2+ (all interviews in English)

• Frontend experience
• Experience with complex / high-load systems
• Background in logistics / healthcare / transportation

• B2B contract (FOP)

• 3-month probation period
