SRE Tech Lead

We are looking for an SRE Tech Lead to lead the transformation of our infrastructure from a reactive model to a systematic Platform Engineering approach. This role is for an engineer who is ready to take responsibility for the real-time availability of a high-load service with an audience of millions.

Technical Context and Challenges:

Scale: Serving 450+ million registered users and handling traffic where latency is critical (real-time video).

Expected stack and experience:

• K8s Internals: A deep understanding of how everything works under the hood, not just deploying manifests.
• IaC Mastery: Expertise in Terraform and Ansible (testing via Terratest/Molecule).
• Automation: Proficiency in Go or Python for writing internal tools and automating safety gates.
• Networking & Linux: Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, Load Balancing, and Linux internals.
• Leadership: Team management experience (2+ years) and the ability to act as a technical “gatekeeper” for high-risk changes.

Responsibilities:

• Transition from support to platform development (proactive platform engineering).
• Architecting frameworks for incremental infrastructure releases with automated health checks.
• Incident management and conducting blameless post-mortems to identify root causes.
