Senior PHP Developer (PHP/Laravel) Offline

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior PHP Backend Developer to join a leading Cyber Threat Intelligence company that provides a cyber security platform to enable both small and large organisations to quantify and manage their external cyber risk. The vision of this project is to make threat intelligence accessible to everyone by providing real-time, actionable insights. This role requires deep expertise in PHP , strong knowledge of SaaS architecture , and a security-first engineering mindset to help maintain compliance with ISO 27001.

You will be responsible for designing secure backend infrastructure, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring the reliability of complex data workflows. We want a hands-on builder who can analyse complex issues and independently propose effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using PHP.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices to support application functionality.
• Work with and scale applications deployed on AWS-based infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to improve code quality and share knowledge.
• Contribute to maintaining system security and compliance with ISO 27001 and best practices.

• Occasionally contribute to frontend development in a Next.js application.

   

Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in PHP.
• Deep production experience with PHP frameworks, preferably Laravel.
• Understanding of SaaS architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL systems (e.g., Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including version control, issue tracking, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to effectively use AI tools to support development workflows.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

   

Nice to Have

• Good understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript (React is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Prior experience in cybersecurity or building highly secure threat intelligence platforms.
