General QA Engineer

As a General QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems. You will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to design effective testing strategies, implement automation, and ensure consistent quality across the entire product lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structured QA processes, designing complex test scenarios, and improving testing infrastructure in a modern engineering environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Testing Strategy

• Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans and test suites for our software solutions
• Build complex test scenarios simulating operational and edge-case environments
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across web interfaces, backend systems, and integrated components
• Perform manual testing of new features and product updates
• Conduct functional testing across web applications and APIs
• Work with product documentation and requirements to ensure proper test coverage

Test Automation

• Write and maintain UI and E2E automated tests using JavaScript and Playwright
• Create and improve test automation solutions with a focus on scalability and maintainability
• Build and maintain stable regression test suites
• Support automated test runs and analyze results
• Expand automated test coverage across the product

Quality Processes & Collaboration

• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking systems
• Create strategies for test data generation and management
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects
• Work closely with development, product, and operations teams to ensure quality at every stage of the product lifecycle
• Act as a quality advocate within the company, ensuring the best outcomes for the product and its users
• Ensure continuous visibility into product quality and testing status

Continuous Improvement

• Analyze recurring issues and improve testing processes
• Contribute to improving test coverage and testing infrastructure
• Understand business value from proposed QA processes and apply the most effective testing approach — manual, scripted, or automated — according to business needs

What We’re Looking ForTechnical Skills

• 2+ years of experience in UI / E2E test automation using JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with Playwright
• Experience with Mocha test framework and Chai assertions
• Experience working with Linux environments
• Experience with Postman
• Hands-on experience with API testing (REST, collections, automated checks)
• Solid understanding of QA processes, test design, and regression testing

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python + Selenium
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Experience with test reporting tools (Allure or similar)
