Middle QA Engineer

About the Role: We’re hiring a Middle QA Engineer to own quality across our mobility platforms. You’ll develop deep expertise in how dispatchers, drivers, and passengers actually use our products—then ensure every release works flawlessly.

What you’ll be testing:

• Web dashboards (React)
• Backend APIs (Go, via Postman)

This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and operations. You’ll map workflows, translate requirements into test strategies, build automation, and lay the foundation for a scalable QA function.
 

What You’ll Do:

• Master the domain — Understand mobility workflows end-to-end: reservations, dispatch, driver operations, passenger experience, billing
• Own product quality — Execute manual testing on UI, validate backend endpoints, test mobile apps across platforms
• Build automation — Develop and expand test coverage using Playwright or Cypress
• Drive processes — Manage defect tracking, create comprehensive test cases, establish repeatable QA standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally — Partner with product and engineering to identify gaps, prioritize fixes, ship with confidence
• Grow with us — Over time, take on QA leadership and implementation oversight
   

What You Bring Experience:

• 3+ years in manual testing with increasing responsibility—test strategy, test case creation, defect management, risk mitigation
• 2+ years automation experience (Playwright or Cypress preferred)
• 2+ years collaborating with engineering teams to drive quality improvements
• SaaS product experience required; logistics, transportation, or mobility domain is a plus

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git
• API testing with Postman
• Issue tracking and test management tools (Linear or similar)
• Expertise across testing types: functional, backend/clear-box, integration, system, UAT
• Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
   

Mindset:

• You think in user journeys, not just test cases
• Proactive—you anticipate blockers before they escalate
• Strong documentation: identify root causes, explain them clearly
• Comfortable switching between manual testing and automation
• Curious about learning a specialized domain deeply

Languages:

• English — Upper-Intermediate (written and spoken)
• Russian — a plus (large part of team is Russian-speaking people from Latvia and Kazahstan)
