Python Backend Engineer (Django, API Integrations)

Project: 
Warehouse & Inventory Management System (Amazon FBA integration)

We are building a warehouse management system that integrates with Amazon SP-API to manage inventory, inbound shipments, and logistics workflows for sellers.

The system processes:

• Inventory synchronization
• Shipment lifecycle management
• Amazon inbound planning workflows

Responsibilities

• Integrate with Amazon SP-API (inventory, catalog, shipments)
• Implement backend logic for shipment workflows and inventory updates
• Build and maintain asynchronous processing using Celery
• Design and maintain REST APIs (Django REST Framework)
• Handle complex multi-step API flows (preview → confirmation patterns)
• Ensure data consistency between internal system and Amazon
• Implement retry logic, error handling, and rate limiting
• Work with PostgreSQL data models for inventory and shipments

Requirements

Must have:

• 3+ years of Python experience
• Strong experience with Django / DRF
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Experience with Celery or similar async tools
• Understanding of REST API design and authentication
• Experience with PostgreSQL

Nice to have:

• Experience with Amazon SP-API
• Experience in e-commerce or logistics systems
• Experience with Kubernetes / AWS
