We are looking for an experienced Upwork Lead Generation Specialist (Sales-focused) who deeply understands the Upwork platform and knows how to not just send proposals, but win projects and bring in clients.

This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who understands Upwork algorithms, knows how to get into top proposals, and can build effective client communication.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Main goal โ€” acquiring new clients via Upwork

โœ… Technical Stack & Tools

  • Platform: Upwork (main channel)
  • Approaches: proposal writing, bidding strategies, boosted proposals
  • Communication: Upwork chat
  • AI tools: allowed, but not as the primary approach (no generic template-based proposals)

๐ŸŽฏ Ideal Candidate

  • 1,5+ years of hands-on experience with Upwork
  • Proven experience in lead generation / sales / bidding via Upwork
  • Strong understanding of how to:
    • find relevant projects
    • write personalized, high-converting proposals
    • get into top proposals / boosted bids
  • Experience in IT outsourcing / outstaffing companies is a plus
  • English โ€” B2+ (strong written communication)

Key qualities:

  • Results-oriented mindset (focus on won projects, not volume)
  • Ability to analyze and improve conversion rates
  • Proactive and self-driven
  • Ability to work without generic templates

  • Search and identify relevant projects on Upwork
  • Write high-converting, personalized proposals
  • Optimize bidding strategy (timing, connects usage, boosting)
  • Handle initial client communication via Upwork chat
  • Qualify leads before passing them to the sales/tech team
  • Work with multiple company profiles (OpsWorks & UppLabs)
