We are looking for a Payments Operations Lead who will take end-to-end ownership of our payments domain, including PSP integrations prioritizations, operational performance, and alignment with product and development teams.

This role sits at the intersection of operations, product, and business, and is responsible for bringing structure, visibility, and scalability to our payments ecosystem.

Scope of the Role (Seniority Clarity)

This is a mid-level role with strong ownership expectations.

  • You will own the payments domain from a business and operations perspective
  • You will not be expected to manage large teams or define long-term product strategy
  • However, you will be expected to independently drive initiatives, structure processes, and deliver results
  • You will work directly with senior stakeholders and contribute to decision-making within your domain

Over time, this role may evolve into a lead function with team expansion

Requirements
 

  • Strong experience in payments / PSP integrations (preferably iGaming, fintech, or high-load transactional environments)
  • Ability to operate across operations, product, and business domains
  • Strong ownership mindset with a hands-on approach
  • Experience working with metrics, dashboards, and performance optimization
  • Ability to structure complex processes and bring clarity to chaotic environments

Responsibilities
 

  • Act as a primary point of contact for all payment providers (PSPs), managing day-to-day communication and operational issues
  • Own and resolve ongoing payment-related challenges, including incidents, delays, and performance gaps
  • Monitor and improve key payment metrics (success rate, approval rate, processing time)
  • Initiate and drive investigations into payment-related issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Evaluate readiness of payment solutions for new markets
  • Lead the launch and management of new PSP integrations and payment methods
  • Translate business and operational needs into clear requirements for the development team
  • Contribute to roadmap planning in alignment with product and business priorities
  • Prepare and maintain internal documentation, manuals, and runbooks
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Tech and Finance teams
  • Potentially manage an operational specialist and oversee daily execution

Key priorities will include:

  • Define and implement a new prioritization framework for all payment-related tasks, ensuring clear alignment between business impact and development efforts
  • Structure and digitize all payment-related data within CRM, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and usability across teams
  • Build and maintain a structured database of all PSPs, including integrations, statuses, limitations, and key operational details
  • Design and implement an alerts & monitoring dashboard, providing visibility into payment performance and highlighting critical issues in real time
  • Establish a clear incident visibility layer, allowing teams to proactively identify and react to payment-related problems
  • Develop and propose a strategic approach to improving payment performance, including success rate and approval rate optimization
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current payment flows, and initiate improvements
