Frontend Magento2 Developer Offline
Ven Commerce Ltd. is an international technology company founded in 2012, with offices in the USA, Israel, and Ukraine. We operate across two domains: e-commerce (Talisa, talisa.com — a global personalized jewelry brand) and telehealth (Balto, balto.com). Our team of ~65 people works remotely across multiple countries.
We're looking for a Frontend Magento 2 Developer. Most of your time will be spent building responsive, fast-to-ship e-commerce interfaces, but you'll own the full feature, not just the UI layer.
We operate multiple Magento 2 / Luma-based storefronts — and we're giving this person real ownership of the frontend direction: technology choices and modernization roadmap. If you're opinionated about frontend and want to actually drive change rather than execute tickets, this is that role.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and are expected to leverage AI-assisted development tools as a natural part of your daily workflow.
We value getting things shipped and working. Pragmatism over perfection.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Magento 2 solutions with a strong focus on frontend: themes, UI components, performance, and conversion-oriented interfaces.
- Build responsive, accessible, user-friendly storefronts based on design mockups in close collaboration with the design and PM.
- Turn business requirements into working Magento 2 solutions.
- Take an active role in A/B testing of UI features — from implementation to analyzing results and iterating based on data.
- Participate in code reviews — giving and receiving feedback with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and frontend best practices.
- Collaborate with the other engineering teams on diagnosing production issues, performance bottlenecks, and security concerns.
- Stay current with Magento, PHP, and frontend ecosystem trends — and bring relevant ideas back to the team.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Magento 2 storefront development.
- Solid experience with Luma-based frontend work: themes, templates, layout XML, RequireJS, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, LESS/CSS.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/ReactJS/JavaScript/ES6+
- Ability to collaborate well with product/design teams and turn requirements into working solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools — Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar — used regularly, not just occasionally.
- English - strong intermediate and higher.
Bonus points:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Magento certification(s).
- Experience with unit/integration testing in Magento.
- NodeJS backend experience.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation based on your experience and skills.
- Fully remote with a flexible schedule.
- 20 working days of paid vacation per year.
- Conferences, workshops, webinars, and training — we invest in your growth.
- Exposure to a wide variety of technologies and international projects.
- A team that values engineering quality, initiative, and smart use of modern tools.
