Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue and Billing Analyst to support billing accuracy, financial reporting, and product profitability. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and data, ensuring that billing processes are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

You will work closely with finance, product, and engineering teams to analyze operational metrics, improve billing systems, and maintain financial integrity across customers and vendors.
 

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and submit timely, accurate management reports for finance, product usage, and key KPIs
• Review daily and weekly operational metrics to identify trends and support long-term financial performance
• Analyze vendor costs and allocate expenses per customer and product
• Identify non-reported billable items, such as taxes or carrier costs, and ensure proper allocation
• Review monthly subscriptions and verify vendor billing rates against contracts
• Conduct ad-hoc billing adjustments, including credits, liabilities, and contract updates
• Verify usage completeness and reconcile with reporting databases
• Perform monthly audits and weekly sampling checks to ensure billing accuracy
• Review billing rates and SKU pricing to ensure alignment with contracts or default rates
• Maintain billing system mappings for new services and SKUs
• Determine SKU rates based on cost and markup, and update default SKU lists
• Ensure invoice presentation is accurate and SKU-friendly
• Validate new environments and databases for correct reporting events and billing assembly
• Support semi-automated billing pipelines for event reconciliation
• Build financial, statistical, and analytical models to support decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve systems
• Assist pre-sales with usage modeling, billing estimates, and small-sample analyses
• Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements to billing and finance workflows
• Contribute to continuous improvements in billing automation and financial processes
   

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Big 4 audit or similar high-standard audit/finance environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, cost allocation, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
• Ability to independently manage projects from start to finish
• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with finance, product, and technical teams
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
   

Nice to Have:

• Experience in IT, SaaS, or technology-driven environments
• Basic SQL knowledge or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with accounting systems like SAP or Microsoft Business Central
• Exposure to billing systems, revenue operations, or usage-based pricing models
