Ruby on Rails + Next.js Developer (Remote, Long-Term)

We are looking for a strong and experienced Ruby on Rails + Next.js Developer to join our team for a long-term remote project. If you are passionate about building scalable web applications and enjoy working with modern technologies, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails and Next.js
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend services
• Build responsive and high-performance frontend interfaces
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and product managers
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial development experience
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails
• Solid experience with Next.js and modern frontend development
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and web architecture
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (RSpec, Jest, etc.)
• Experience with performance optimization and scaling applications
