Infrastructure Engineer - Leaply
SKELAR is a venture builder that builds international IT product companies according to the rules of the venture capital world. Together with our co-founders, we assemble strong teams to launch tech businesses and win in global markets.
We are currently looking for a Infrastructure Engineer.
We are Leaply, an ecosystem of digital and physical products designed to help people build healthy habits and improve their quality of life. We operate in global markets - the US, Tier 1, Europe, and beyond.
In June 2024, we launched an app focused on habit-building, using a subscription-based monetization model and a performance-first marketing approach (Meta, Google, TikTok). Within the first two months, we achieved positive unit economics and are now on track to grow 10x by the end of the year.
Our team is building its third business together, with successful exits behind us and a deep understanding of our niche and target audience. We move fast, communicate openly, and set ambitious goals.
What youβll do:
β Become the first hire in a new Platform team and build the infrastructure function from scratch - from strategy to execution, with full ownership and impact across the business;
β Transform infrastructure that has grown alongside the product into a mature, well-structured platform β with clear service maps, dependencies, and ownership areas;
β Take Terraform and Kubernetes to the next level of maturity: modular IaC architecture, standardized deployments, autoscaling β ensuring every release is predictable and reliable;
β Build a full observability system: metrics, logs, traces, alerting β so the team can proactively monitor system health instead of reacting after issues occur;
β Strengthen security practices: access management, secrets handling, protection from external threats β and make security an integral part of the engineering culture;
β Optimize data infrastructure β ensuring stable and efficient pipelines for analytics and business decision-making;
β Create platform templates for new services β so product teams can focus on features instead of infrastructure;
β Work across three core business domains β Product, Growth/Marketing, and Payments β building solutions that scale the entire business, not just individual teams.
This role is for you if...
Must-have
β 3+ years of commercial experience in Infrastructure / DevOps;
β Strong experience with Kubernetes + Helm (clusters, deployments, autoscaling, health checks);
β GCP β projects, networking, services, access management;
β Terraform β infrastructure as code, modules, state management;
β CI/CD β building and maintaining pipelines;
β Observability β monitoring, logging, alerting (Prometheus/Grafana or similar);
β Security β access control, secrets management, protection from external threats;
β Ability to write production-level code β not just scripts (Bash/Python), but also capable of contributing to backend (Node.js/TypeScript) to solve engineering challenges;
β Ownership mindset β proactively identifying risks, driving solutions, and thinking in terms of business impact;
β Actively using AI tools in your workflow to move faster and think broader.
Nice-to-have
β Experience with data tooling β building and maintaining data pipelines;
β FinOps β infrastructure cost optimization, budgeting, cost monitoring.
SKELAR is an environment for self-realization of people who are able to create successful companies. We call such companies the next big everything. We believe in their power and scale.
To do this, we have created all the opportunities within our venture builder:
β 8 SKELAR Platform teams that help businesses close any issues: from recruiting and communications to finance and legal issues;
β A community of founders who have already launched more than one business and can share practical experience;
β Internal clubs by professional areas: marketing, development, finance, recruiting, brand ambassadorship;
β Trainings, courses, attending conferences;
β Health insurance.
