Senior Python Developer

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer to join one of our projects on a full-time basis.

About the project: The client is from Norway. They are working on developing a product for the maritime industry. The product focuses on energy analysis for different sea transport (for example, fuel usage, greenhouse gas emissions, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new features in line with the product roadmap and detailed requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Maintain and evolve existing systems, including troubleshooting issues and modernizing technologies and architecture.
• Ensure the application meets performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and code quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions, influence technical direction, and take ownership of tasks and deliverables.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Python Developer.
• Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher level of English.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with frameworks: Django, FastAPI, or others.
• Experience with database systems like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with queue & message broker platforms like Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD.
• Experience in container-based architecture and deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in writing unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests.
• Proficient in working with the version control system Git.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools.
