Accountant Manager $$$

Gypsy Collective is looking for an Accountant to build and maintain financial dashboards in Tableau. This role is focused on Xero accounting, payments, reconciliations, and month-end close, with gradual handover of full accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain accounting in Xero.
• Manage AP / AR processes and execute payments (banks, cards, PSPs, crypto).
• Control cash balances across bank accounts and payment systems.
• Perform bank and payment reconciliations.
• Handle revenue recognition and affiliate balances (accruals & settlements).
• Lead month-end close and ensure data accuracy.
• Review and maintain the existing reporting framework in Xero.
• Document and improve accounting processes and policies.
• Monitor financial data consistency and identify discrepancies.
• Gradually take over the full accounting cycle and reporting structure.
   

Requirements:

• 2–4+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Hands-on experience with Xero (or QuickBooks / similar accounting systems).
• Strong knowledge of AP / AR, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience working with payments (banks, PSPs, payment providers; crypto experience required).
• Understanding of revenue recognition and accrual accounting.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Experience working with international financial operations or multi-bank environments.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting processes.
• Strong attention to detail and structured approach to work.
• English Intermediate+.
