N-iX is looking for a Senior Back-end (Java+Python) engineer to join our team. 
 

The Backoffice Support Team (BST) owns the systems and tools used internally by our backoffice teams, including Customer Service and Operations, to manage customers and commercial partners. The team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal support platforms and workflows.

This includes:
● Zendesk is the main ticketing system
● Postbox, the internal customer communication area
● Custom integrations with core systems and other internal services

BST plays a key role in enabling operational efficiency, ensuring that internal users have reliable, scalable, and well-integrated tools to handle customer and partner interactions effectively.

 

Technical Skills (Must-Haves)

Experience:

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong background in Java and Python development
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Java 21, Spring Boot 3
    • Python 3 (FastAPI experience is a plus)
    • MySQL 8, Hibernate
    • Apache Kafka
  • Solid experience with AWS (S3, RDS, Lambda, Airflow) and cloud-native development
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Harness)
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools: Grafana, Datadog
  • Strong communication skills, ability to run discovery, gather requirements, and write detailed user stories
  • English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in financial technologies
  • Familiarity with Zendesk administration or JavaScript customizations
  • Exposure to TypeScript, React, or React Native (collaboration with frontend teams)

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain backend infrastructure supporting internal tools, Zendesk integrations, and custom services.
  • Maintain and extend the internal Postbox system, ensuring stable, real-time communication between customers and the business.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Platform, and Frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of accounting-related data and the overall resilience of internal services.
  • Participate in requirements discovery, refine user stories, and contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.
  • Take part in an on-call rotation to support mission‑critical systems.
  • Own services from concept to production, including development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Continuously improve team processes, code quality, and technical foundations.
